Thank you for your recent inquiry in my Heirloom Bears. My name is Cindy Malchoff and I recycle old fur coats to make collectible teddy bears.
Send me your retired fur coat and I will create an Heirloom Bear for you. Depending on the size of your coat I can fabricate a 12 inch, 13 inch, 16 inch, or a 20 inch bear. If you are looking for more than one bear from the coat, let me know and I will work accordingly. The largest bear(s) possible will be made unless you specify otherwise.

All bears are fully lined with a utility muslin. This procedure reduces the stress on the leather when sewing, turning and stuffing. Your bear(s) will be fully jointed (head, arms, and legs), with your choice of glass eyes or ( if for a small child ) safety backed plexi-glass eyes and will have a hand stitched nose and mouth. The paw pads and foot pads can be made of the lining of your coat (monograms or patterns can be worked in if they are not too large), shaven fur, or a color coordinated suede. The choice is yours. Each bear will come with a ribbon around its neck.
The cost for an Heirloom Bear made from your fur is $134.95 each regardless of the size. Additional charges for shipping, and sales tax (in NY, PA, CT and MA), will be added.
To order your Heirloom Bear(s) please place the garment in a sealed plastic bag, and place the plastic bag into a corrugated box. Please enclose a $40.00 deposit per bear ordered, made payable to My Apple Tree, and special instructions (e.g.: type of eyes, material choice for paw pads, etc.) along with your address and phone number and an e-mail address (if available), and mail to :
